A summary of the rules for Buck Rogers: High adventure cliffhangers.

To resolve actions that have a chance of failure, you roll a number of dice (d6) vs. either a target number or an opponent's roll. Rolling the target number or better indicates success.

The number of dice you roll depends upon the relevant ability, the relevant skill, & appropriate equipment.

Abilities:

  • OK: 2D
  • Good: 3D
  • Better: 4D
  • Best: 5D

Skills:

  • A skill adds 1D to the roll.
  • A master skill adds 3D to the roll.

You can also spend experience chips to add additional dice. Each chip spend adds 1D.

The Rule of 8: You may never roll more than 8 dice.

The Rule of 6: If you roll a 6, add another 1D to the roll.
