Don’t reinvent the wheel

Sometimes the wheel needs to be reinvented. That’s why we have the catepiller tractor.

Don’t bring a sword to a gun fight

But don’t assume that the “gun” makes the “sword” completely obsolete. Sometimes, the rifle runs out of ammo, & you’re happy to have a side-arm as well.
